The Cascade Bruins own Broadway Back to Back years!!( Final CAS 32 EVE 22)

Even though I was not playing last nights football game, I am still hyped for how my guys played!!

Very explosive start defensively, I knew we were going to do extremely well on the defensive side of the ball, we have been all preseason. Offensively we had a lot of younger guys who hadn't had much experience at the varsity level, and the really got comfortable and played well as the game went on.

We did shoot ourselves in the football a couple times and they took advantage of our mistakes making it a close game toward the end. However, in the 4th quarter, it wasn't hard to tell Everett was getting tired defensively in the 4th quarter, and we were able to pull it off.

From an offensive line perspective, we did have a lot of guys with little to no varsity experience playing upfront, and they did a great job getting comfortable as the game went on. A lot of mistakes were made, it wasn't the prettiest, but a lot of it is stuff that can be fixed.

Player of the game: Max Nelson with over 200 rushing yards.

Man, that kid is fast.....

I cannot emphasize how much I love watching Max run track and even more how I love watching carry the rock. I believe he scored 2 or 3 TDs (Micheal Purl and Davanta Murphy both scored and had phenomenal games as well) Once you get Max around the corner, nobody can catch him. Great game Bro!

Overall: A win is a win, and we do own broadway, but there was a lot of learning points in last nights game. We will watch film and I will help the younger guys, especially on the O-Line, get better and fix our mistakes! On to Bishop Blanchet Thursday September 6th at 8pm. Go Bruins!
